Winners from Saturday will battle in April's National Open
After two days of exhilarating boxing action in the Boxing Federation Of Kenya National Intermediates Championships, Saturday afternoon action will see Kenya’s cream of young boxers get an opportunity to surge through to the next stage of their budding careers as they take part in the finals set to be staged at the Ongata Rongai Talanta Social Hall in Kajiado County from 2pm.
As per the norm, a series of medical tests will precede the bouts, with a total of over 20 fights expected on the day.
The top dogs going into the three-day event safely navigated through Friday’s round of semifinals and will be the highlights on Saturday.
East African champion Dennis Muia of Nairobi is among the favorites in the finals after out dueling Lucas Masawe of Homa Bay County by five rounds to none in the bantamweight division.
